I'm going to start a series of posts on how we, as a nation, came to the present, sad point in our history. I will be quoting Barefoot Bob from his blog. Unfortunately, Bob is deceased, but I have saved some of his pertinent writings. I wish to pass these along to you. Bob did a huge amount of research for which I can only thank him for posthumously. Thank you, "barefoot" for all the hard work you have done, Rest in Peace with the knowledge that I will try to carry on the work you have started trying to save this (once) great nation!
"Since March 9, 1933, the United States has been in a state of declared national emergency....Under the powers delegated by statute, most of them made up by "Progressives" in high public office, the President may: seize property; organize and control the means of production; seize commodities; assign military forces abroad; institute martial law; seize and control all transportation and communication; regulate the operation of private enterprise; restrict travel; and, in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all American citizens."
"A majority of the people of the United States have lived all of their lives under emergency rule. For 40 years, freedoms and governmental procedures guaranteed by the Constitution have, in varying degrees, been abridged by laws brought into force by states of national emergency....from, at least, the Civil War in important ways shaped the present phenomenon of a permanent state of national emergency." - Senate Report, 93rd Congress, November 19, 1973
It continues to this very day, July 9, 2011. Witness the fact that the United States has had a "war" of one kind or another going on since 1933; the "War on Drugs", the "War on Poverty" and etc. It seems to be never-ending! Our elected officials know of these proceedings, and it is to their benefit that they must perpetuate them. We must reverse what has happened to us, and demand that our Sovereignty be returned to us: We, the people! I know that this may seem an impossible task, but what has been done can also be un-done, and must be made so. At the risk of sounding like an isolationist, which I am not, we must remove ourselves from foreign entanglements, dis-engaging ourselves from the politics of other nations, and engage only in trade with them should they and we agree to this trade. We must STOP financing other countries with our hard earned money; most especially those who have tyrannical despots as leaders. The people of those nations must secure their own freedom from tyrannical rule, should they choose to do so. We MUST STOP sending jobs overseas to foreign concerns just to make "the bottom line" look better to investors.
We must also wrest control of our monetary system from the FEDERAL RESERVE, which is in NO WAY a federal agency! It is a private Banking Cartel set up by Internationalist Bankers that "loans" money to the federal government and charges interest on that loan. The Federal Reserve is one of the most heinous scams foisted onto a nation in the history of the world! I will be posting more on the history of how we got to this sad state of affairs in later posts.
