What has become of America?

Good Morning;  I found this at "Unfiltered News", a site produced by G. Edward Griffin, author of the book: "The Creature from Jekyll Island".  It seems to describe the "norm" in America today.

Has America become the land of the special interest and home of the double standard?

Let’s see, if we lie to the Congress it’s a felony, and if the Congress lies to us it’s just politics; if we dislike a black person we’re racist, and if blacks dislike other races, it’s their First Amendment right; the government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and they do almost nothing for the victims; in public schools you can teach that homosexuality is OK but you better not use the word God in the process; you can kill an unborn child, but it is wrong to execute a mass murderer; we don’t burn books in America, we now rewrite them; we got rid of the threat from communists and socialists by renaming them progressives; we are unable to close our border with Mexico, but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea; if you protest against president Obama’s policies you’re a terrorist, but if you burned an American flag, it’s your first-Amendment right.

You can have pornography on your TV or internet, but you better not have a Nativity Scene in a public park during Christmas; we have eliminated all criminals in America, they are now called sick people; we can use a human fetus for medical research, but it’s wrong to use an animal.

We take money from those who work hard for it and give it to those who do not want to work; we all support the Constitution but only when it supports our political ideology; we still have freedom of speech, but only if we are being politically correct; parenting has been replaced with Ritalin and video games; the land of opportunity is now the land of handouts; the similarity between Hurricane Katrina and the Gulf oil spill is neither President did anything to help.

And how do we handle a major crisis today? The government appoints a committee to determine who’s at fault, then threatens them, passes another law, raises our taxes; tells us the problem is solved.

What has happened to the land of the free and home of the brave?


I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but I think this needs to be in every one's mail box.  Maybe it will wake up more  people to the problems we face.  One can only hope!  About the only things that were not mentioned, are the necessities of ousting the United Nations from our political process (and our land), and the dismemberment of the Federal Reserve and all it's associated "little" banks throughout America.  Return to our Constitutional Republican form of government by putting staunch Constitutionalists into our halls of government.

SHEILA JACKSON LEE LEAVES US ALL SPEECHLESS.

Recently, Congresswoman Shiela Jackson-Lee went on the air with Tavis Smiley of PBS. During her appearance she was kind enough to explain something to all those crazy conservative bloggers. “Shut up!” And while we’re all zipping the soup-coolers, we’re also supposed to lay off the racial politics.
For those of us hoping for greater detail, we are still unsure as to whether we should “Go to Hell” first, and then shut the yaps, or whether that works the other way around. However, she is handy with a totally non-racial and uncontroversial piece of advice for anyone who expects to do business with the Federal Government once Barack Obama’s new jobs bill has been passed.

She also said that if Obama’s jobs bill is passed, that contractors who “do not look like”* her need to make sure that if they get federal money, their workforce “better be reflective of those suffering double-digit unemployment.”
“I don’t consider it discrimination, I don’t consider it affirmative action,” she added.

Now before we all rush to judgment about members of Congress who are differently-able, it helps to review some prior public statements of Shiela Jackson-Lee. She claims that Venezuela is a friendly nation and a US ally soon after Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez called US President George W. Bush the devil. She seems enamored with the notion that the US succeeded in The Vietnam War. Gob-smacking historical ignorance follows below.

She continued, “Today, we have two Vietnams, side by side, North and South, exchanging and working. We may not agree with all that North Vietnam is doing, but they are living in peace. I would look for a better human rights record for North Vietnam, but they are living side by side.”

No tribute to the intellectual firepower of Congresswoman Shiela Jackson-Lee would be complete without her famous visit to NASA JPL. She wanted to know if the Mars rover would have any footage of where the astronauts planted the flag before. She also drinks the other dark cola, because Pepsi, you see, has racist commercials.
Oh, and who could possibly forget….

One of Lee’s crusades as a Representative of subtropical Gulf Coast Houston has been to end what she calls the government policy of giving hurricanes “lily white” names. “All racial groups should be represented,” she told The Hill Magazine, adding that she hoped the weather establishment in the future “would try to be inclusive of African American names” such as “Keisha, Jamal and Deshawn.”

 
At that juncture, I realized something. I couldn’t think of anything that would describe Shiela Jackson-Lee’s mental incapacity. Depleted Uranium is dense. So is the gravity field in the vicinity of a highly-complexioned hole.(The Congresswoman did tell me to stop playing the race card.)  But nothing adequately serves as a metaphor for the hardness of Shiela Jackson-Lee’s head. It would score a 14 on The Moh Scale.
She wins, I have nothing left to say….

Republicans Must Not Be Afraid To Excorcise The Demon!

"If you’ve seen the recent Harry Potter or watched any of a host of exorcism movies, you know that right before the demon dies, he lashes out most brutally and fearfully to try to get you to give up.
We’re seeing the demon of out of control government lashing out in spectacular fashion now before House Republicans kill it.
In one last spectacular bout, the White House and Congressional leaders are summoning Standards & Poor to Congress to scare the beejezus out of House Republican Freshman. They are bringing in the Grim Reaper to proclaim death if a deal is not reached.
House Republicans should first note that S&P did not see the financial crisis come and also note that the White House and Congressional leaders did the exact same thing on TARP.
Then House Republicans need to open their eyes, laugh at death, and finish the exorcism.
They are being asked by their leadership and the White House to embrace one of two poisons:
The first poison, McConnell’s Pontius Pilate Act, would let the President drive up debt by $2 trillion without any cuts.
The second poison, the Gang of 6' Gangrene, would drive up debt by $2 trillion, not make cuts of $3.5 trillion for ten years and even then depend on subsequent Congresses actually agreeing to those cuts, and also foist on the American public the largest tax hike in American history while being dishonest enough to call it a tax cut.
Poison kills. And either of these poisons, despite what the S&P or any politician may say, will kill the long term prospects of this Republic being financially solvent.
Why?
Because the House GOP is performing an exorcism on government spending. It has the only plan that can pass by August 2, 2011, that cuts spending, caps future spending, and balances the budget. It has the only long term plan that meets the credit reporting agencies’ demands without relying on future agreements to do things Congress has never had the will do to.
The Senate and White House do not want to stop spending. They do not want to be restrained.
So they’ll bring in the S&P, claim disaster, beg for live, and hope the GOP in the House gives up the fight and stops the exorcism before the demon is driven out.
House Republicans: Hold the freaking line!
They are trying to scare the crap out of you to prevent you from saving the Republic! Do you really believe the same people and the same bipartisan deals that got us to $14 trillion in debt will somehow get us out of it?"

I firmly believe it's time to contact your Representatives in Washington, and let them know that you want them to "Hold the Line" against the Progressive/ Communist takeover of OUR COUNTRY!! Hit them where they live; in their pocketbook! They are trying their damndest to reduce this Nation to third world status!
