Rep. Gutierrez says Immigrant Voters put Obama in Office

In sharing his joy over Obama's latest immigration policy with the Latino community, Congressman Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) let it slip that "immigrant voters" helped put Obama in the White House. It is illegal for immigrants-- legal or illegal -- to vote in U.S. elections.

Gutierrez confirms what many in the U.S. already believe: Illegal aliens are voting in U.S. elections -- to the benefit of the Democrat Party -- and each time an illegal alien votes, it cancels out a vote cast by a U.S. citizen.

Following the Obama Homeland Security Department's policy change on illegal alien deportations last Thursday, New York's Congressman Peter King slammed Obama's deportation policy as a blatant attempt to bypass congressional authority and grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens by fiat.

While the move caused anger among many GOP lawmakers and citizens groups, it was praised by the Democrats.

"This is the Barack Obama I have been waiting for and that Latino and immigrant voters helped put in office," Rep. Luis GutiƩrrez (D-Ill.) told New York Daily News reporter Jack Straw.

Rep. King, who is chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee accused Obama of cherry picking which laws to enforce and which ones to ignore.

“This new non-enforcement policy announced by the Obama Administration Thursday is a blatant attempt to grant amnesty to potentially millions of illegal aliens in this country, and is totally unacceptable. In reality, this decision to vastly expand the exercise of ‘prosecutorial discretion’ in enforcing our federal immigration laws means that the Administration will now be, in a huge number of cases, simply ignoring those laws," said King.

King (R-Nassau) cited Obama's remarks from July: “On July 25, in a speech to the National Council of La Raza, the President himself said, ‘I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own…but that’s not how our system works…That’s not how our democracy functions. That’s not how our Constitution is written.’ Apparently the President’s understanding of how our system of government works has changed since last month,” King sternly noted.

“The President and members of his Administration must enforce this nation’s laws, just as they have sworn in their oaths of office to do," said the visibly angry Congressman King.

POLL: VOTERS FAVOR BORDER CONTROL OVER AMNESTY

The latest Rasmussen Reports poll shows that Obama just may be catering to a losing minority when it comes to forcing Amnesty on America.

According to the Rasmussen national telephone survey of Likely Voters, 61% deem border control as the most important aspect of immigration reform while just 31% say it’s more important to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants already here. At the same time, 57% of voters agree that the goal of U.S. immigration policy should be to keep out national security threats, criminals and those who would live off our welfare system welcoming all immigrants that do not fall under those categories.

These results have remained consistent in surveys dating back to 2006.

HUNTER BILL WOULD SPEED UP DEPORTATION

In response to Obama’s “blatant disregard for the law,” Arizona state Rep. Duncan Hunter is planning to introduce a bill that would speed up the deportation of thousands of illegal immigrants whose deportation cases are jamming immigration courts. Rep. Hunter’s effort comes as a stark contrast to the new Obamnesty measure cancelling all pending deportation cases except those of illegal immigrants convicted of additional crimes.

The bill would:

Require that immigration officers order the immediate removal of an illegal immigrant who has not been continuously living in the U.S. for a period of four years, unless he or she has been charged with a crime, plans to apply for asylum or is determined to be a national security risk.

Require that immigration officers refer immigrants who are seeking asylum to an asylum officer only if the immigrant has been in the country for less than a year.

Make it clear that the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security has the authority to expedite the removal of criminal immigrants.

Limit the ability to grant stays of removal to illegal immigrants who have been ordered removed.

Hunter is currently seeking co-sponsors and is likely to introduce the bill next month after Congress returns from its summer break.

Lawmaker Wants Investigation Into Administration's New Deportation Policy

Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 10:57AM

Staff

Rep. Candice Miller (R-Mich.) says she will hold hearings into whether the Obama administration’s new deportation policy violates the Constitution.

In a statement, Miller, who chairs a key House border security subcommittee, declared that the new policy, in which the administration will focus deportation efforts on illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds over other illegals, “is nothing more than an administrative amnesty; one that ignores our laws and provides a pass to the countless individuals who are in the nation illegally.”

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (R), who last year signed one of the toughest illegal immigration laws in the nation, also referred to the plan as “backdoor amnesty.”

Miller said that the administration’s decision breaks a promise made last year by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, who said at the time that her agency would not “grant deferred action or humanitarian parole to the Nation’s entire illegal immigrant population or large classes of such population.”

Here’s Miller’s reaction to that statement:

“The policy announced by DHS last week and the explanation Secretary Napolitano made in her response one year ago clearly conflict. It once again seems clear that this Administration fully intends to travel down the road of amnesty which has failed in the past to stop the flow of illegal immigration and made our borders less secure. I believe that this action could pose an imminent threat to our efforts to gain operational control of our borders and requires vigorous oversight. The Administration should be put on notice that I intend to call a hearing in the very near future to exercise the appropriate oversight function of Congress and to make certain we are doing everything in our power to enforce the laws and secure our borders.”

Rawsome Foods

This is a prime example of what I have been talking about with government controle at all levels.

Written by a well armed potential suspect...well hell (Ring) Huggins, be honest...you are general and originator of the Terlingua Liberation Front.
Hail Obama!

Cowing the Population
By Doug Hornig

The noose around Washington, D.C.'s neck continues to tighten, with no clear way to remove it. Behind the scenes, there is undoubtedly a rising sense of panic. That's bad. The last thing you want is panicky people operating the far-reaching power levers of the state.

But if push does come to shove, history teaches us, the government will not hesitate to clamp down on its subjects by whatever means necessary to preserve itself. And the best way to mute resistance is to prepare citizens ahead of time for escalating levels of police control. An enhanced law enforcement presence must be accepted as the new normal. But rest assured, it's "for our own good."

That disclaimer has been used to hoodwink decent folk forever. But the truth is, what's really up is the application of the time-tested political axiom that the more fearful people are, the easier they are to control. We've seen this principle at work for years. Politicians continually pass more intrusive laws; and police take increasing liberties with our rights, content that the courts will back them up... which they have done, as spineless judges hand them larger and larger cartes blanche to act however they please. The first ten amendments to the Constitution have been largely gutted. The things the Founders cared most passionately about have been tossed into the dustbin.

We're told: that our homes are no longer safe from no-knock entries, and warrants be damned (precisely the abuse that most riled the revolutionary colonists); that we should rat out our neighbors at the first sign that something is "amiss," just as in any communist state you care to mention; and that it should be regarded as okay that warrants of all kinds are commonly served by gangs of helmeted thugs, covered with body armor and toting a dizzying array of lethal weapons.

Readers of a certain age will remember when the police were called peace officers, as their job was primarily to maintain the peace. Who's heard that quaint term lately? No, now they are law enforcement officers, and they are at war with a widening swath of the citizenry. And the targets of overwhelming force are not just murderers and rapists and armed robbers. SWAT teams are routinely dispatched to deal with bickering spouses, zoned-out pot smokers, parking ticket violators, and those delinquent in loan payments.

Make no mistake about it: Authorities around the country have gotten the message from Washington that a complaisant populace is required. And they're dutifully applying the heat. It may seem odd that they're going after ever less-violent people, but it makes perfect sense. It's in the government's interest to suggest that all of us are potential suspects.

Take, for instance, the case of Rawesome Foods in California, a private buying club dedicated to bringing the most wholesome, natural food products to its members. Does that sound like a criminal conspiracy? It did to local and federal officials, who staged a joint SWAT-style raid on the club last week. Without a warrant, officers entered the storefront, seized cash, destroyed inventory, and jailed the club's founder.

But if those in power are really serious about creating a docile population, there is absolutely no better way to go about it than criminalizing children. Yes, children.

No, I'm not talking about SWAT raids here. But in a way, this is even more insidious, because the effort is directed at teaching kids at an early age that Big Brother is always watching and that you'd better be sure you obey the letter of every law (as if anyone could possibly know what they all are) or you're in for trouble with the Man.

This has been - and I swear I am not making this up - the summer of the lemonade-stand bust. Yep, children's lemonade stands have been closed down in states all over the country, including California, Oregon, and Texas - and even, astonishingly, in such bedrock, sensible-values American heartland states as Wisconsin and Iowa.

The latest of these important police actions came in small-town Georgia, where the local cops advised the kids in question that they had to cease and desist from selling their lemonade until they forked over $50 a day for a business license. Watch this news report only if you have a strong stomach and your outrage button is not easily pushed.

That video is instructive in oh so many wonderful ways.

First, take a good look at the head cop as she explains their actions. "The law is the law" is about as close as you can get to "I was only following orders." Squint your eyes a little. She'd look perfect decked out in SS lightning bolts, wouldn't she?

Next, consider the little girl who says, "... but we had to listen to the cops." She's learned her lesson.

Then there's mom. We're sure that if she were one of our readers that stand would've been up and running the next day, and every day until the police were forced to take those kids to court over this. But not here. This mom is backing away from the issue, saying, "I'm trying to teach my kids good, and I don't think it'll teach 'em good if I keep on an' on with this." Right, the lesson wasn't only for the children.

Finally, in addition to instilling fear of authority in our most impressionable citizens, there's an added kicker to this incident. What better way to kill the entrepreneurial spirit in its cradle and set us up for the day when we all work for the state?

Question: What's the point when we finally announce that we're not going to take it any more? If that point isn't when they go after our kids, then there isn't one.

Obama to America: Drop Dead

Obama to America: Drop Dead - San Francisco Immigration

By Rick Oltman

In the most anti-American act of his administration that showed complete contempt for America and Americans, President Barack Hussein Obama amnestied over 30 million illegal aliens on Thursday. There was no legislation, no debate and no consideration for American citizens.

Cecilia Munoz, formerly of the racist group La Raza, posted on the White House Blog that under the president’s direction an amnesty was declared for illegal aliens in America.

Oh, it wasn’t called amnesty, of course. In classic Orwellian Newspeak she said, “Today, (DHS) announced that they are strengthening their ability to target criminals even further by making sure they are not focusing our resources on deporting people who are low priorities for deportation.”

But it’s an amnesty.

Well, NCLR wasn't satisfied with all the high level governmental appointments Obama paid them in return for their help in getting him elected.  They've now twisted his arm by threatening to withdraw their support in 2012 and by actively encouraging him to be a dictator that he has now become a dictator, throwing the Balance of Power, our Constitution, and our laws out the window.  Here's some on Cecilia Munoz.  I have never liked her since she was on some committee that was discussing how many people from each country we would allow in as legal immigrants.  She said something to the effect that she (although she phrased it as "we") didn't want to let too many black people in.  Wish I'd kept that.  I remember copying it as a comment on some posting on ALIPAC but I haven't been able to find it... that was back when I first started looking at this mess and wasn't familiar with saving things. Anyway, here's Cecilia.

I do believe that is incontestable evidence that the White House knows what the Balance of Powers is, what our Constitution and laws mean and that they have blatantly disregarded all of what this country was founded upon in favor of their own agendas.  Our Congress needs to get off their duffs, do their job and reign this president and his entourage in.  ~   Faye

Obama Usurps Congress

Administrative Amnesty for Illegal Aliens is a Blatant Usurpation of Congress's Constitutional Authority, Charges FAIR

(Washington, DC August 18, 2011) The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) responded sharply to today's White House announcement that it will essentially halt enforcement against illegal aliens who have not been convicted of criminal offenses. Today's move by the Obama administration amounts to an administrative amnesty and a sweeping overhaul of the nation's immigration policy without approval by Congress, charged FAIR. The announcement was posted on the White House website.

Under the guise of setting priorities for immigration enforcement, White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs Cecilia Munoz lays out entire classes of illegal aliens who will no longer be subject to enforcement. The plan entails dropping existing cases and taking "steps to keep low-priority cases out of the deportation pipeline in the first place," Munoz writes.

"Today's policy announcement clearly demonstrates the Obama administration's defiance of both the constitutional separation of powers and the will of the American public in its relentless effort to gain amnesty for illegal aliens," stated Dan Stein, president of FAIR. "From the outset, the administration has refused to enforce many immigration laws, essentially placing its own political agenda ahead of its constitutional responsibilities to carry out laws enacted by Congress. It has also acted aggressively to prevent state governments from implementing laws aimed at discouraging illegal immigration, including filing lawsuits against Arizona and Alabama.

"Supporters of comprehensive and targeted amnesties for illegal aliens have consistently failed to win approval by Congress or gain support from the American public," Stein noted. "Having failed in the legislative process, the Obama administration has simply decided to usurp Congress's constitutional authority and implement an amnesty program for millions of illegal aliens."

The announcement seemingly comes in response to growing demands from illegal alien advocates that the administration exercise broad discretionary powers not to enforce laws against entire classes of people who are in the country illegally. "In spite of repeated statements from President Obama himself that he lacks the constitutional authority to implement an amnesty by executive fiat, the administration is now doing precisely that," said Stein.

"This step by the White House amounts to a complete abrogation of the President's duty to enforce the laws of the land and a huge breach of the public trust. Never, in the history of federal immigration enforcement, has an administration willfully and so egregiously usurped Congress's and the people's role to decide immigration issues. In essence, the administration has declared that U.S. immigration is now virtually unlimited to anyone willing to try to enter and only those who commit violent felonies after arrival are subject to enforcement. This is not the nation's immigration law," concluded Stein.

Faye Discusses Lamar Smith's HR 2164

Ok, I've fiddled with this until I'm blue in the face.  I may do one more thing and call Smith's office to get their opinion on the pre-emptive aspects of this bill before making a final decision, but as the bill stands, I cannot support it.  We've been hoodwinked so many times and had victories trashed that I can't trust there will be amendments prior to passage or more laws forthcoming to maintain our 10th Amendment rights.  And Arizona got a Supreme Court ruling on this.  I can't support a bill that would undermine that.  It looks like the bill has enough support from the big organizations and has a pretty fair chance of passing if it ever comes to the floor.  It may not make it to the floor under the current situation with the debt ceiling crisis.  You just never know with those congressional jokers playing tricks in the middle of the night.  As much as we've wanted federally-mandated E-Verify, this is a compromise I can't, in good conscience, make.  If it does pass as it is and we lose the protection of what we currently have and wind up being forced to accept God only knows what not even pertaining to illegal immigration, the only comfort I'll have is the ability to say, "I told you so."

Eric Holder finally admits involvement in ATF gun scam for Mexican Drug Lords

It has come to my attention that Eric Holder, our illustrious (sic) head of DOJ was the driving force behind the plan by ATF to allow guns to be bought from American gun shops by straw purchasers and then placed into the hands of Mexican Drug lords. If true, this sheds light on the proposition that our own government officials are working very hard to drive America into the ground, possibly to create an emergency situation that would allow them to declare martial law and set aside the Constitution for the duration of "the emergency". This would mean that our God-given right to self-defense guaranteed by the Amendments to the Constitution, commonly called "the Bill of Rights" would be declared null and void and not allowed! Witness what happened in New Orleans La. immediately following hurricane Katrina.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we MUST NOT allow this to go unaddressed! The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the united States of America was put in place not for hunting, but to ensure that American Citizens could keep in check a tyrannical government. Our firearms rights must NEVER be forfeit, else we become "subject" to the whims of a ruling elite! If those in Washington D.C. are allowed to usurp the powers vested in "We, the people", by executive order and political fiat, then America will become the newest dictatorship in the order of the world.
Americans in every state of the union MUST raise our voices in protest of these actions by our so-called representatives at the federal level. I urge everyone to apprise your respective congressmen of these un-American activities being done behind closed doors and in smoke filled rooms by the unelected bureaucrats who are in power in Washington D.C.

America's Founding Documents Target of Progressives!

Greetings everyone;
Here's some more disturbing news that should give all of us some really bad nightmares. It seems that powerful forces in high places of our national government, and abroad as well, have teamed up to change our founding documents into a Progressive Constitution and Bill of Rights more suitable to the likes of George Soros and his gang of followers. I came across this in an e-mail I received from Faye. Apparently, WorldNetDaily found out that Georgie Soros, Cass Sunsteen, his wife, Samantha Power, and other federal officials high up in our federal government apparatus have been working on this Progressive Constitution for some time now, and will be attempting to make it happen by the year 2020.
From the WND Blog:
"WND has learned that in April 2005, Sunstein opened up a conference at Yale Law School entitled, "The Constitution in 2020," which sought to change the nature and interpretation of the Constitution by that year.
That event was sponsored by Soros' Open Society Institute as well as by the Center for American Progress, which is led by John Podesta, who served as co-chair of Obama's presidential transition team. Podesta's Center is said to be highly influential in helping to craft White House policy.
The Yale event on the Constitution was also sponsored by the American Constitution Society, or ACS, which has been described as a group meant to counter the work of the Federalist Society, which has been at the forefront of the push for a more conservative judiciary since its launch in 1982. Read more: George Soros assault on U.S. Constitution http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=280277#ixzz1RCOOLUIi"
Ladies and gentlemen, if this comes to pass without a teriffic outcry on the part of American citizens, we will have no one but ourselves to blame for the downfall of America!
The article goes on to list the "new" amendments as follows:

"In his book, Sunstein laid out what he wants to become the new bill of rights, which he calls the Second Bill of Rights:
His mandates include the following:
~The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;
~The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;
~The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return that will give him and his family a decent living;
~The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;
~The right of every family to a decent home;
~The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;
~The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident and unemployment;
~The right to a good education.
I thought we already had these "rights", but a person must work to earn them! How can we expect our bankrupt government to provide these things for the millions of citizens that are here, let alone the millions of illegal immigrants who are here already and more yet to come if this administration has it's way by leaving the borders wide open?
This action on the part of the federal government is nothing less than TREASON against the American people and our beloved country!
I submit, Ladies and Gentlemen, that it is time, no, past time to bring any and all TRAITORS to justice!
The price of liberty is eternal vigilance, and Ladies and Gentlemen, we, the people, have NOT been vigilant! If we act now, and let these vermin who would usurp the power of the American people and try to rule by Presidential Directive, Executive Order, and ridiculous laws concerning "victimless crimes" know that we will not put up with any more of this type of garbage, we may yet save America for the generations yet to come.
~Jeff
