I can't believe our dictator in chief actually believes this garbage!

Barack Obama told ABC News yesterday that he is the “underdog” in 2012. He actually raced to embrace the title George Stephanopolous threw out there for him. There was no deliberation, no pause — just an immediate “absolutely” to lay claim to the title.
First understand that the Obama wants to be the underdog because of America’s fixation with rooting for the guy behind. He sees it as a positive.
Second, understand that underdogs do not get to take campaign bus tours through swing states at taxpayer expense on buses paid for by taxpayers and also fly around in a blue and white 747 and get pretty much as much free press as he wants, including great photo ops in front of Congress talking about jobs.
Underdogs do not get that.
Incumbent Presidents get that. And incumbent Presidents do not, more than year from an election get to call themselves “underdogs,” if ever they do. When a President is a year from election, sees his popularity going down, and can’t even muster enough Democrats to vote for his jobs plan because they neither fear nor respect him, the President is not an underdog. He is a loser.
This President is a political loser. Every time he speaks the stock market goes down. Every time he acts boldly, independents attribute it to increasing political desperation without seriousness. Every time he tries to lead, his own party privately mocks him.
Jimmy Carter was no underdog and neither is Barack Obama. With the trappings of power, the brightest men in the room to advise them, and massive war chests — Obama’s is the biggest there is — he is not an underdog.
And it’s not just because he is a political loser. Americans cheer underdogs. No one is cheering Barack Obama.

PRESS RELEASE: ECTOR COUNTY LAUNCHES “NO REFUSAL” WEEKEND

To combat the serious and often deadly problem of impaired driving, local law enforcement agencies will join together Labor Day Weekend to launch Ector County’s first “No Refusal” Weekend. All suspected impaired drivers who refuse breath testing will be subject to blood testing to determine their blood-alcohol concentration.


In Ector County, as well as the rest of the nation, anyone driving with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08 grams per deciliter or higher is considered legally impaired. On a first offense, this is a Class B Misdemeanor. Beginning September 1, 2011, if the (BAC) is .15 or higher, the offense is enhanced to a class A Misdemeanor.

In 2010, there were 25,032 alcohol-related crashes in Texas, resulting in 1,057 deaths and 16,877 injuries. Texas leads the nation in alcohol-related crashes and fatalities. Of those, 24% were young people between the ages of 20 to 25, even though this age-bracket is only 9% of the population. Most occurred on Saturday, and the greatest number occurred between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m.

BAC test refusals are increasing across the nation. The “No Refusal Weekend” is designed to address this issue. Police and other law enforcement officials work in coordination with prosecutors and judges to quickly obtain “blood draw warrants” for drivers who refuse BAC testing. With the approval of a judge, anyone suspected of impaired driving who unlawfully refuses to provide a breath sample is subject to blood testing at the scene, a medical facility, or nearest jail facility. In this case, offenders will be transported to a medical facility for testing.

You Tube Town Hall

You Tube has set up a pretty good looking site where they obtain questions from whoever wants to submit one and then have legislators debate the questions.  Then, you get to punch a button and vote on which side you support.  Everything looks pretty good until you punch the vote button, then they want access to your information for some "moderator" function which you can either give or deny.  I'll watch whatever interests me, but I ain't giving access to my personal info.

Here's the actual You Tube Town Hall site.  There's Debate and Leaderboard buttons up at the top right that take you to the debates, etc.

To Kill an American

You probably missed this in the rush of news, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper, an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American. So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is, so they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)
"An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, Arab, Pakistani or Afghan.
An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans.
An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan . The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses.
An American is also free to believe in no religion.. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.
Americans live in the most prosperous country in the history of the world.
The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.

The national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes "your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed".
These in fact are the people who built America; Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001, earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.
So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so, you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place.
They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American."

I wonder where Brook is going and what he's going to be doing. I hope he doesn't quit making videos. We've always talked about somewhere else we could go if something happened to his site. I never imagined it would be one of mine. I'll go into withdrawal when he shuts down.

We're rather liberal on this site. I moderate comments but only to keep the loonies out. Litewt8 and Beadalong encountered some of the local talent when they helped me with a newspaper article. We've got this site and I send out a newsletter. I haven't for a couple of months because...., but Pat over in Midland sends out articles with comments all the time. We work mostly on a local and state level, but there are members in a lot of states besides Texas. We had planned to work on membership and the local elected officials this summer, but you know what happened. We did succeed in getting about 5 resolutions on the Texas Republican Platform concerning illegal immigration, illegals voting, the NAU, and the Superhighway. It looks like we succeeded in stopping the La Entrada road, at least for a while. And Jason Moore and I succeeded in drawing some attention to what's happening with the local schools.

It will be nice to still talk to you via comments. Make all you want. The locals around here usually e-mail me rather than comment. If you have articles you want to post or if you want to write about an issue, put in a comment, "Faye, contact me." The site captures your e-mail address. Then I can e-mail you, you'll get my e-mail address and you can then send what you want and I'll put it on the site.

Riders Against Illegal Aliens

HOMESTEAD TAX CAP IN JEOPARDY

You must vote in May to keep the homestead tax cap for 65 and over, even if you are not 65 yet

If you are a Texas homeowner then this is important to you. If not, it is important to your friends who are.

If you agree, please pass along to all on your email lists. I am sending this email to my email address list who lives in Texas . I want to be sure you are aware of a constitutional amendment that will be on the ballot at the May election. It is an amendment to correct an error made by the lawmakers when they voted for a reduction in school property taxes in 2005.

When the lawmakers voted for a one-third reduction in school property taxes beginning in 2006 and to be completed this year, they forgot about the homestead exemption for senior citizens and people with disabilities.

The state constitution caps school property taxes for homeowners 65 years and older and those who are disabled.

However, they DID NOT get the same reduction when the property tax cut for schools was voted on two years ago.

So an amendment is on the May ballot to correct this error.

The problem is that most voters who are younger than 65 or not disabled probably won't even notice the amendment or care.

PLEASE get out and vote for this amendment if not for yourself, then for your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends. We would really appreciate your getting the word out to all your friends and families to vote for this amendment.

The fear is that with a low voter turnout, the amendment could very well not pass.

So, please, please pass the word and VOTE for the constitutional amendment. Early voting will take place April 30 - May 5 from 7 am to 7 PM; May 6 from noon to 6 PM and May 7 - May 8 from
7 am to 7 PM. Election day is May 12 from 7 am to 7 PM.

STATUS OF FEDERAL COMPLAINT

I am about 10 days away from sharing the contents of the Federal Complaint which is intended to be filed with the U. S. Federal District Court in Phoenix, the United States Attorney and the Attorney General of the United States.

The Defendants in the Complaint will be the Mayor of Phoenix, the Chief of Police of Phoenix, the Chief of Police of Mesa, AZ, the Latino Caucus of the AZ Legislature and several specific members of that caucus, the Mayor of Guadalupe, AZ and several others who are sworn Public Officials....both elected and/or appointed and who have publicly condemned the efforts of the Maricopa County Sheriff and the County Attorney and who, by taking such public positions are in fact and in deed, in violation of their Oath of Office which requires them to support the enforcement of the laws that are currently on the books. The Complaint will also speak to their deliberate attempts to thwart the Rule of law and to violate the "Equal Protection Clause" of the U. S. Constitution and the State Constitution.

The Federal congress, State Legislatures, County Boards of Supervisors and City council's are not empowered to establish "ethnic oriented" clubs of politicians elected to provide equal representation and equal protection to all of the citizens and residents of their specific jurisdiction. By taking public actions and making public statements which are aimed at interfering with or preventing another law enforcement official or agency from enforcing all of
the laws, simply based upon a claim of discrimination, race, profiling, etc., without any basis upon which the claim or action is made or taken....then, after all is said and done....we are left with a ruse....a diversion....a deliberate effort to discredit the lawful actions of the law enforcement official or agency in the face of the law itself.

Political and public efforts by such individuals or groups of individuals undermine not only their
credibility as defenders of the law, they also clearly show that any claims they make or seek to have investigated are the very claims which they themselves are guilty of committing in order to justify the actions taken by those who have broken the law. Sheriff Joe and his Office have a contract with the Town of Guadalupe, AZ. His presence in that Town and the presence of his Deputies are in keeping with that contract. Likewise, their efforts to enforce all of the laws are in keeping with their Sworn Oaths and the Rule of Law. Elected and Appointed officials and ignorant and uninformed citizens who oppose the Sheriff's efforts on the grounds that he has no
authority to enforce Federal Immigration Laws....are absolutely wrong.

Sheriff Joe and approximately 160 Deputies are all 285g DHS/ICE officers and they have every legal right and obligation to provide law enforcement in this dual capacity.

I have, as I mentioned....received the names, addresses, comments, etc of about 50 people from all across the USA. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING AND PLEASE INCLUDE ARTICLES SPECIFICALLY ABOUT PHOENIX, MESA, GUADALUPE AND ARIZONA THAT HAVE COME TO YOUR ATTENTION, REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU MAY LIVE. ONE OF THE CHALLENGES THAT WILL NEED TO BE OVERCOME IS A POTENTIAL ARGUMENT THAT WHAT THESE POLITICIANS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT LEADERS ARE DOING DOES NOT ADVERSELY IMPACT ON THE REST OF THE NATION. TO BE SURE, THAT IS NOT THE CASE. WE MUST SHOW THAT WHAT THE MAYOR AND POLICE CHIEF OF PHOENIX AND MESA AND GUADALUPE ARE DOING....IS INDEED AFFECTING THE HEARTS AND THE MINDS OF OUR FELLOW AMERICANS AND THAT THEY ARE ENCOURAGING THE FURTHERANCE OF THIS LAW BREAKING INVASION BY CONDEMNING THE EFFORTS OF THE OF OTHER ELECTED OFFICIALS AND APPOINTED AND TRAINED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS.

I AM RESEARCHING, COMPILING AND REVIEWING A NUMBER OF LEGAL DOCUMENTS WHICH WILL SUPPORT THE COMPLAINT, INCLUDING THE WORDING IN THE OATHS TAKEN BY THE AZ LEGISLATORS, MAYOR'S OF PHOENIX AND GUADALUPE AND THE
CHIEFS OF POLICE OF PHOENIX AND MESA, AZ....AND OTHERS....AND CONTRASTING THEIR OATHS TO THAT TAKEN BY SHERIFF JOE AS AN ELECTED OFFICIAL AND CHIEF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER OF THE COUNTY. LIKEWISE, REFERENCE FROM THE 1986, 1996, 200 AND 2006 IMMIGRATION ACTS WHICH GRANT FEDERAL IMMIGRATION AUTHORITY TO STATE AND LOCAL JURISDICTIONS WILL BE CITED AND USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF COUNTERING CLAIMS THAT STATE AND LOCAL
POLICE DO NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE IMMIGRATION LAW. REFERENCES RE THE PROHIBITION OF SANCTUARY CITIES, ET AL WILL ALSO BE CITED, AS WILL ACTIONS SUCH AS ARE NOW BEING USED TO DEFRAUD TAX PAYERS OUT OF PUBLIC FUNDS IN ORDER TO BUILD CITY FINANCED DAY LABOR CENTERS, ETC.

Most of us maintain a low profile, but ya'll have just got to meet this one. I can't remember where I actually got him.... not from the TXDOT... yeah, it was from the e-mails we sent out on the TXDOT. Actually, he's not a new member, then. I just didn't know we had this guy out there.

ORGANIZATIONAL / PLANNING MEETING

An organizational/planning meeting was held November 27, 2007, at the home of Kenneth and Faye Hall in Odessa. Many of our concerns were addressed, such as illegal immigration and the changes that are occurring due to the progress of the Security and Prosperity Partnership; bills in both our federal and state Congresses; ideas, plans, and tools to use in presenting our case before local, state, and federal leaders and media. Here's the results of that meeting.

• Two chapters were formed. Faye Hall heads up the Odessa chapter; Pat Kennedy heads up the Midland chapter. We have contacted people in other areas who might participate in heading up additional chapters in other cities, but we have not yet heard back from them.
• We are trying to bring the movie, "Border," to town to be shown at the Ector Theatre sometime in the Spring. Pat has contacted the producer of the movie, Chris Burgard, who is touring the United States showing the movie. Border presents both sides of the illegal immigration story, and although it promotes no solutions to the problems, gives a good account of a lot that is involved. We will be approaching various organizations and individuals for sponsorship soon. Here's a link to a trailer if you would like to preview the movie. "Border"
  
• We determined that many people are concerned and have good ideas about actually doing something, but once the ideas are voiced, they just go into the neatherlands and nothing is ever done. We determined to write the ideas down and find ways to put the ideas into action.
• Pat Kennedy presented a notebook chuck full of illegal immigration information that she has used to approach Midland officials. Faye is working to put a similar book together for Odessa.
• Building a website and creating a newsletter were discussed. Here is the website. Let us know what you think about it. It can also be used as a newsletter so that it can be mailed to those who have no access to computers. I'm going to activate comments on this blog, but they will be held for moderation. I believe this will give us more exposure and participation, but I don't believe we want to be exposed to some of the vitrol that can be expressed on blogs. This blog can be opened up for other authors. There are several of you out there that I hope will contribute. • We are also working up presentations to give to various organizations. We have completed a presentation on voter fraud and are currently working on the Mexican consulates involvement in our schools and government, and the tremendous impact of the Mexican drug industry coming across our border.
