Fabian Munoz The North-SAN MIGUEL ALLENDE .- Among the findings of work in the Monetary Conference in Mexico highlighting in this city, the 18 panelists attendees agreed that in the medium term it would be advisable to consolidate the Mexican currency with that of Canada and the United States. In an interview, Abel Beltran del Rio, director and founder of Ciemex Wefa, explained that the work of 1, 2 and 3 October, specialists from Mexico, United States, Canada and England in the first instance agreed that each country should choose its monetary policy, in his experience, and after a thorough study. "In the first instance, we believe that every Latin American country must decide its monetary policy, according to its history and after a thorough study," he said, "in the case of Mexico commented that the next step of NAFTA is to unify the currency with the United States and Canada. " The event organized by the Lucas Alamán International Center for Economic Growth, Clarmond University, as well as the University of Bologna, also had the participation of about 100 specialists in this field. The specialist added that there was a serious debate over whether it was desirable to the dollarisation of the currency and therefore believe that each country has its own history and circumstances. Alfonso Galindo, director of Cilace said that issues such as the type of organization to govern the change in the currency was also under discussion within the work. "It was an interesting and rewarding job," described the director Cilace. Among the attendees was attended by Arnold Harberger of the University of California at Los Angeles, and Jeffrey Frankl, from Harvard University.
