A public memorial service for slain Border Patrol agent Luis Aguilar Jr., formerly of El Paso, will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Yuma Civic Center in Yuma, Ariz., officials said.
Attendees are asked to arrive by 10 a.m.
Aguilar, 32, was struck and killed by a vehicle driven by an alleged drug smuggler while on duty Saturday in Yuma. The driver escaped into Mexico.
Aguilar is survived by his wife and two children.
